Mr. Austin goes to Washington

We are pleased to offer this excellent newer instrument built by Austin for a contemporary building in Washington, DC. Though the stoplist is large, the instrument is remarkably compact, fitting under a 13’ 2” ceiling and about 32 feet wide and less than 8’ deep. The console is well equipped with more than the usual couplers and combination pistons and the English ivory tracker-touch keyboards are of the highest quality and in excellent condition. There is a nice variety of quieter combinations – two sets of Celestes, and Flutes at eight-and-four on each keyboard – and the two “antique” style solo reeds (Rohrschalmei and Krummhorn) are well contrasted. Smooth crescendos are easy to accomplish, and the full chorus is both rich and bright. Here is an outstanding church organ.
