3256, Austin, Atlanta

Free to a good home.

Austin Organ Company Opus 362 (1912)

Rebuilt and expanded, A. E. Schleuter, 1994

Height 254”, Width 318”, Depth 159”

Harp dimensions (mounted on top of Swell Box) Height 64”, Width 92”, Depth 17.5”

Here’s a full-scale heroic organ, ready for relocation. It’s foundation is the famous Austin Universal Air Chest, so it will be easiest to relocate if the width/depth footprint change be unchanged. With three pairs of celestes, and a string chorus built on Contra Viol 16’ (my favorite stop in the organ), three colorful (woodwind) reeds, and harp, this organ has an unusually colorful orchestral vocabulary.

The brilliant choruses are supported by a robust 16’ Double Open Wood Diapason, and that Contra Viol plays independently in the pedal, just the thing for clear definition of pitch in the bass line.

We’re eager to arrange your audition visit.
